Introduction to Project Management Certificate

Learn the fundamentals of project management through four core courses that use examples and hands-on application of project management principles.

Get hands-on training using Microsoft Project 2013 software, learning skills to create and track a project from the ground up. This involves setting up a new project, creating your tasks and gantt chart, following your critical path, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, and preparing management reports.

The Introduction to Project Management Certificate requires the completion of four core courses to be taken within a three-year period of time. Finish this certificate and emerge qualified for an entry level Project Management position.

This course introduces the fundamentals of project management for project planning and organization. There will be extensive use of examples and hands-on application of these project management principles. Participants work on several case studies and relate best practices to their projects.

This course focuses on the leadership aspect of the project team. Qualities of project leaders include the ability to build trust, developing and managing agreements, making decisions and negotiating with team members when conflict arises.
