GRAND TETON BREWING RELEASES

Grapefruit Gose

VICTOR, ID – Grand Teton Brewing Company, known throughout the West for their exceptional craft brews, is proud to announce the release of Grapefruit Gose.

Grand Teton Grapefruit Gose (say, “gose-uh”) is the ideal summer beer: light-bodied, low in alcohol, very flavorful, and thirst-quenching. This beer is the little brother to Grand Teton Brewing’s gold medal winning Gose released in Summer 2016. They brewed it following traditional German practices and added their own flair: the right amount of natural Yellowstone Mineral Salt and one half-pound of Ruby Red Grapefruit puree per gallon of beer. The brewers at Grand Teton Brewing masterfully blended these important ingredients to make Grapefruit Gose the perfect summer beer.

Alcohol by Volume:  4.0% • International Bitterness Units: 6

Grapefruit Gose will be available beginning in May 2017 in 12 ounce 6-packs and 1/6th and 1/2 bbl kegs.

Grand Teton Brewing was founded in 1988 as the first modern craft brewery in Wyoming. Their premium handcrafted beers include the 15x Gold Medal Winning Bitch Creek American Brown Ale; 2014 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal Winner 208 Session Ale; 2009 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Winner Sweetgrass APA; and, favorites of the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks Old Faithful Ale and Teton Amber.  From their production facility in Victor, Idaho, Grand Teton Brewing beers are handcrafted from only the finest ingredients, including locally grown grains, Idaho grown hops and pure Teton Mountain spring water.  Discriminating beer drinkers can find their favorite Grand Teton Brewing brews on tap and in bottles throughout California, Colorado, Idaho, northern Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming.

Even Stevens Boise Reaches One Hundred Thousand Sandwiches Donated!

Just a year after opening their Boise location, Even Stevens Boise has been able to donate one hundred

thousand sandwiches to four local non-profit organizations with the buy-one-give-one model, these four

non-profits include: The Idaho Foodbank, Boise Rescue Mission, Corpus Christi House, and St. Vincent

de Paul. Samuel Grenny, Engagement Director for Even Stevens Sandwiches notes “When our team

made its first trip to Boise in late 2015 to consider it for a future home for Even Stevens we fell in love at

first site. Downtown Boise was everything we dreamed of in a community partner – a progressive culinary

scene, thriving craft brewers and roasters, and an absolutely astounding commitment to local art (Freak

Alley… need I say more?). What sold us on Boise initially was that it is just so damn cool. So it comes as

no surprise to us that Even Stevens Boise just set the record for fastest location in company history to

reach 100 thousand sandwiches donated.”

“Even Stevens remains an inspiring community partner! We truly appreciate the wide scope and positive

impact Even Stevens continues to have on our community. Be assured that the essential and high quality

food supplies you provide are being put to good use and meet the foundational needs of our hungry and

homeless guests on a daily basis. Thank you for your commitment to quality and community!” – Jason

Billester, Boise Rescue Mission

What we do each day depends on our community, “we are grateful. We are speechless. We cannot do

what we do without our customers – or rather, our contributors – and we are overwhelmed by the number

of Boiseans who helped make this possible. We literally cannot wait to see what the future holds.”-

Grenny

Even Stevens Boise will celebrate hitting this milestone on May 1st by handing out commemorative

T-shirts, dancing to beats from a DJ, and engaging guests in conversation about the amazing non-profit

partners they work with every day.

Even Stevens, a Salt Lake City craft-casual restaurant, serves up sandwiches, salads, bites and local fair

(beer, specialty coffee, bread, bakery sweets) unique to each store’s location. By offering fresh

perspectives on nostalgic recipes, the “anti-cookie cutter” brand honors tradition while leaving an open

door for creativity.

Beyond creating a craft dining experience for guests, the brand donates a sandwich to a local non-profit

partner for every sandwich sold. Since their conception in 2014, they are now donating more than 10,000

sandwiches per month within each market. Allowing non-profit partners to save cash on feeding clients

and instead direct their resources towards life-changing programs."

Green Majority & The $100M+/year "Leak" In Idaho's Economy

Guest Post by Koby Conrad via Green Majority:

If there's something that we can all agree on, it's that Idaho is a pretty amazing state. I grew up in Idaho & have been here my whole life. I went to Hillside, Boise High, and the University of  Idaho. Over the last 4 years I've started three separate six figure companies that have provided over ~20 jobs to local Idahoans. I'm a native Idahoan who loves my state. I love my community. I love my neighbors.

The mission of Buy Idaho is pretty simple (and amazing) in my opinion. It's to keep Idahoans spending their money in Idaho.

I know how important our local economy is, because as a small business owner my companies depend on the local economy. If people weren't spending their money locally, myself and many other business owners would simply go out of business. We wouldn't be able to continue to provide jobs for our community.

It's a funny concept. Our economy is kind of like a bathtub holding water, and there's only a certain amount of money that's in it.

If people are spending their money outside of our state, our bathtub has holes in it. Money starts to pour out, draining the resources from the people who live in Idaho.

And this concept of buying locally is why I want to talk to you about Cannabis. It's the year 2017. Idaho is an island of prohibition surrounded by states that have legalized Cannabis. This may not seem terribly important, especially if you do not consume Cannabis yourself.

But I beg you to consider a very, very important fact. Idahoans are driving over the border to buy legal Cannabis. It's not just "a few" people who are doing this. Idaho is spending over $100 MILLION dollars every single year on legal Cannabis - in Oregon and Washington.

Over the next 10 years, there is going to be over $1 BILLION dollars that leaves our economy from Idaho Cannabis enthusiasts spending their money outside of our great state. And this is going to have a real, devastating effect on our economy.

Our bathtub isn't just leaking. The money is gushing out of our state.

Now whether you think consuming Cannabis is "right" or "wrong" I beg you to consider a second fact. Idaho has already legalized medical meth & heroin. You can literally be prescribed these drugs from a doctor. The difference is that when you legalize a substance medically, you start regulating the industry.

We need to regulate Medical Cannabis within Idaho. We can't let drug dealers & criminals be the people who decide whether or not Cannabis ends up in the hands of our youth. We can't let our economy collapse because we are the only state who is unwilling to regulate the industry.

Medical legalization does not mean as a society we are "accepting" drug abuse. Addiction is bad, it doesn't matter if it's Cannabis, alcohol, heroin, or meth. Medical legalization simply means regulation. It means taxation. It means keeping our money in Idaho.

That is why I started Green Majority. We are campaigning to legalize Medical Cannabis so we can have a real, honest, discussion about addiction, and so we can keep over $100M+/year from leaking out of the Idaho economy.

Over the next 10 years, we can keep over a billion dollars in Idaho's economy through legalization, regulation, and taxation.

It's time to plug the leaks in our bathtub. To learn more visit Magazine.GreenMajority.com.
